OTC Trading & Clearing in a MiFID II world. Seminar in Beijing met with great interest.

Jointly hosted by Eurex, Societe Generale and Bloomberg the seminar on 24 January 2018 in Bloomberg office in the Beijing Winland International Finance Center brought together high-qualified participants from the China Office of Bundesbank (German Central Bank), Societe Generale, Bloomberg and Eurex.

The speakers shared their views on macroeconomics and especially on the operational aspects of the impact MiFID II and Brexit will have on OTC trading and clearing. Markus Georgi, Senior Vice President, spoke on behalf of Eurex. Besides talking about the growth and the latest offerings from Eurex Exchange, he put particular emphasis on how MiFID II and Brexit will impact the OTC world from a CCP perspective.

The event was well attended by over 50 people from Chinese state-owned banks, policy banks, equity commercial banks as well as delegates from the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC), the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).
