1. Introduction
As previously announced in Eurex Circular 012/21, Eurex will decommission the support of the existing FIX Gateway back-office sessions and the FIX Gateway 4.2 trading sessions prior to the introduction of T7 Release 10.0, which will be launched in the simulation environment on 13 September 2021 and in the production environment on 22 November 2021.
Following the request from market participants and to support participants in their migration activities, Eurex will extend the availability of FIX Gateway back-office sessions and FIX Gateway 4.2 trading sessions in the production environment from 31 August 2021 until the close of business on 1 October 2021.
Support for the FIX Gateway back-office sessions and FIX Gateway 4.2 trading sessions in the simulation environment will end on 31 August 2021 as planned.
Learn now more about the FIX Gateway Migration on our dedicated initiative page under the following link: Support > Initiatives & Releases > Project Readiness > FIX Gateway Migration. System documentation, circulars, timeline and much more information will be available there for you.
2. Required action
Participants with back office sessions via the existing Eurex FIX Gateway interface should be aware that support for these sessions will no longer be provided with T7 Release 10.0.
Existing applications must be adapted to use the new FIX LF interface at the earliest possible opportunity. Participants using FIX version 4.2 must also ensure that their applications are adapted to FIX version 4.4.
Eurex has already introduced new FIX LF back office sessions (Simulation and Production) as part of T7 Release 9.0. As the (old) FIX gateway back office sessions will cease to exist in as of 2 October 2021, we strongly recommend that those participants who are still using these sessions
