Eurex Repo Readiness Newsflash | F7 Simulation Release 4.5 update on 16 March 2026 – FIX Upgrade and Optional API Upgrade

The Eurex Repo F7 Simulation environment will be updated to F7 Release 4.5 on Wednesday, 11 March 2025 at 11:00 CET.

Eurex Repo will conduct internal tests on 12 March and 13 March 2026 and the F7 Release 4.5 Simulation period will commence starting Monday, 16 March 2026. With the start of the business day on Thursday, 12 March 2026, the software version for Eurex Repo F7 Simulation will be v004.540.000.

As F7 Release 4.5 is only an optional API upgrade, acceptable version numbers for API clients are “4.4” and “4.5”.

F7 Release 4.5 includes GUI enhancements, optional F7 API changes and F7 FIX Gateway upgrades with the following changes:

Core enhancements

  • TLSv1.3 Support, decommissioning of TLSv1.2 support
  • Modify Rollover Rate (Extendable Trades)
  • Trader Permission Changes

  • Field Changes

F7 GUI-specific enhancements

  • Modify Rollover Rate (Extendable Trades)
  • Fast Entry – Max. # SubTrades support
  • Linked Quotes – Extra Checks

F7 API-specific enhancements 

  • Modify Rollover Rate (Extendable Trades)
  • F7 FIX Gateway specific enhancements 
    • Modify Rollover Rate (Extendable Trades)
  • F7 MTX specific enhancements 
    • Field Changes only

TLSv1.3 Support, decommissioning of TLSv1.2 support

With F7 Release 4.5 Repo F7 will only support TLSv1.3.

Starting from the following decommissioning dates, any attempts to connect with TLSv1.2 will be rejected.

  • F7 Simulation, 16 March 2026
  • F7 Production, 27 April 2026
  • F7 Advanced Simulation, 6 May 2026

TLSv1.3 supported ciphers

The following ciphers are supported by Repo F7 services with TLSv1.3:

  • TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256
  • TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384
  • TLS_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256

F7 GUI users are strongly recommended to clear the browser cache after the Release introduction to ensure that the newly introduced GUI functionalities behave correctly.

Eurex Repo is planning to launch F7 Release 4.5 on 27 April 2026 in production.

Please note: While the F7 Simulation system is on F7 Release 4.5, the F7 Advanced Simulation remains on the same software version as the F7 Production system: F7 Release 4.4.

Market Status

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Eurex webpage under Support --> Emergencies and safeguards. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message. 

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
